• The sector you are interested in
• The location you are looking in
• Your preferred format (in-person, virtual, or either)
• Whether you would consider unpaid placements
• If you provide an email: your email address and your marketing preference

We do not ask for or store any special category information such as ethnicity, disability, religion, or immigration status. You can skip any question or choose the no-preference option.

• To improve the accuracy and usefulness of the service
• If you opt in separately, to email you work experience updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.

We rely on your consent to collect and use your answers and, separately, to send you marketing emails if you opt in.

Answers submitted anonymously are retained for up to 12 months to help us improve matching. If you create an account, we keep your profile until you ask us to delete it. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.

Data is stored on secure servers with access controls and encryption in transit. Only authorised staff can access personal data, and only when needed to run the service.

You have the right to:

• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Ask for your data in a portable format
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
